Welcome to the home of William Wright.
Margaret walks up and knocks on the door.
Mr. Wright: "Hello? Who is it?"
Margaret: "I'm Margaret Morgan, I've ran far from my home plantation searching for refuge. I was told you could help me."
Mr. Wright: "Well alright then. Please, come in."
Margaret: "Thank you Mr. Wright."
Mr. Wright walks towards the back wall and opens a secret hatch that leads to the basement.
Mr. Wright: "This is our secret room where you can stay. No one will find you in here. There's also a cot for you to sleep on. I'll get you some fresh linens from the closet."
Margaret: "Thank you, Mr. Wright, but I have much traveling to do. How will I escape across the river?"
Mr. Wright: "I can assist you if you choose to remain here until tomorrow night, or you can wait a few days and we can link up with William Goodridge. William can provide cover in one of his rail cars. I'll leave it up to you, though. My only concern is that the longer you are here, the greater the chance that a slave catcher may coming looking for you. What would you like to do?"
Margaret: "Much obliged, Mr. Wright. I suppose I have some things to think about."
What option will you choose?
