You've found safety in the basement of the Buttonwood Tree House.
Abraham: "You will be staying in a cellar that is concealed underneath the house. To get in you must crawl in the fireplace where there is a hidden doorway."
Margaret: "That sounds safe."
Abraham: "Yes, very. If anybody ever comes into the house there will be a fire burning over the entrance to the cellar."
Margaret climbs into the cellar and goes to bed. She is awoken in the morning to a rustling at the entrance of the cellar.
Abraham: "Margaret, stay down and quiet, Edward Prigg is here."
Margaret: "Yes, Mr. Heistand."
Edward Prigg enters the house and begins talking to Abraham who is lighting the fire.
Edward: "Hello Mr. Hiestand, I have been told that you have been partaking in the practice of hiding slaves. I have a warrant for one in particular- her name is Margaret Morgan."
Abraham:"Now, Mr. Prigg, I have no idea what you are talking about."
Edward: "Don't lie to me Abraham."
Abraham: "I'm not, feel free to look around."
Edward: "Gladly."
Edward searches every room in the house but finds nothing.
Abraham: "I told you that I have nothing to hide."
Edward: "Possibly, Abraham, but I will be keeping an eye on you."
Edward opens the front door and departs.
Abraham: "Psst, Margaret, he is gone. He could come back so you should probably stay down there."
As Margaret sits in the cellar she thinks about her options. She can be safe and head to the Wright house but heading there now might make it a lot longer till she crossed the Susquehanna and get her freedom, given that she would have to wait for a train or ferry boat. On the other hand she can make a run for the Wrightsville bridge now and possibly make it to Lancaster this evening.
Abraham: "What would you like to do next, Margaret?"
Margaret: "I think it would be best to..."
Margaret: "That sounds safe."
